Nativity set and decorating

I decided to keep decorating today... So, the stockings are hung and the new nativity set Dee got us last year is up. When we got the nativity set, it seemed to be life-sized. It was many, many boxes.... BIG boxes. I was thinking all day where was I going to put it? So I started opening the boxes and the pieces are not as big as we thought, so we slid the TV over and it fit perfectly! even the lady on Extreme home makeover on the TV seems to be admiring my nice nativity set heheIn this picture you can also see the stockings that Dee made for Rick and I. The one on the far right is an older one of mine that she had made, so I taped "Luke" over Nicki and hung it up too :) The cats have to share one hook for now until I get some more Here are pics of the ornaments that my secret santa sent me last year :) so cute and I was so excited when I opened them up to hang up. The top one is red sox and the bottom one is patriots.
This is a pcture of the ornanment that Kim, Mark and the girls got Luke for his baptism. Its a little baby animal with a pacifier in its mouth and a 1 for 1st christmas. So cute!

Weekend

Friday night we had dinner with Kim, Dan and Sebastien. Here is the picture of Luke and Sebastien:I was pretty tired from working that day, so we headed home after dinner and called it a night early. On Saturday, we woke up and Rick headed off to work. Luke and I got ready and headed to Nana and Papa's. Luke was having so much fun visiting with his great-grandparents. He was showing off to Nana how he can eat his feet now.
We left there in the evening and headed over to Pat and Melissa's house. It was the annual central thanksgiving. We had a great time, including Luke. He was having fun visiting with everyone and did not want to go to sleep. He took a nap from about 9 to 10 but then woke up again and was pretty tired, so we left to come home so he could sleep.
We got up on Sunday morning and Rick made me breakfast. yum. And the 3 of us relaxed a bit... Then we cleaned up the living room to make room for the Christmas tree! We first went to Verizon to get a new cell phone because Luke ate mine and damaged the speaker. oops. After we left there we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's on the way to get the Christmas tree. We visited with them for a bit, then went to pickout our tree!
When we got home, Luke was having fun watching Rick string up the lights on the tree, and it had just started to snow too! Luke's first time seeing snow! He wasn't too impressed.

The tree is all decorated now, and tomorrow monring I plan to put up the rest of the decorations! :)

Giving thanks

This was one of the best Thanksgivings ever. Maybe its just because Luke is here, but, wow. My family is truely amazing. We had such a good time and we are so fortunate to have such great people in our lives. Caring, nice, funny, selfless, giving, and most of them are pretty darn crafty too :)

Dee made Luke this super cute body-bib. Once its clean (again) I will take a pic of it because its really such a great idea. It covers Lukes whole body, and is super easy to put on. So great. Aunty Sandy finished Lukes birth stats cross-stitch winnie the pooh wall hanging. I want to hang it tomorrow ... and then we will post a pic of it because its SO nice. I have been saving wall space for it since my baby shower in April. So exciting.

Tomorrow we make the rounds to visit with the rest of the family we missed on turkey day. Lukes looking forward to seeing the rest of his family!

Tonight, we met the Masse's for dinner. The babies sat next to each other, pretty much oblivious of each other, but the adults had fun! I have a picture of the babies next to each other, but the memory card is across the room, and laziness is winning right now :)

Thanksgiving

This week was busy because I had to work on Monday. We were all pretty tired by Wednesday night. Here is Luke cuddled into Dada.
Thursday:
Luke's first Thanksgiving! Dee and John got to the house at about 830 and we piled into the Pilot to head up to Aunty Jane's house. When we got there, Luke got to spend some time with his Great Grammy And we took a photo of the 4 generations: Aunty Dee put Luke in a mini rocking chair that he liked
And Luke and his cousin Taylor spent lots of time together. Taylor was born one month after Luke.

Here is great-grammy with 3 of her great-grandchildren: Sydney, Maddie and Luke

There were lots of other pics that the aunties took, so when I get more, I will post them, because there were lots of cute photo opportunities!!

Today, I worked again, mean boss opening the office! It was busy so that was good. When I got home, Luke and I played hard. Here he is in his exersaucer having fun!

Thank you Hillary!

The pictures that Hillary took came out great! I have posted a few, but wanted to keep the one that we used for our Christmas cards to be a surprise. So that one isn't on here. It was a little windy at times that day, so my hair is a little crazy in some of them :) the wind-blown look haha.

This week:

Tuesday was a normal day for Luke and Rick with the normal rounds.

Wednesday: When I got out of work at noon, I came home so Rick could leave for work. Luke and I hung around and played for a bit, then we went to Nana and Papa's. We visited with them until bath/bedtime for Luke. Nana and I go him ready for bed and asleep, then I left to go meet my co-workers for pizza and drinks. It was fun to relax with them outside of work! After that, I headed back to Nana and Papa's and Rick met us there after work. We all slept over for the night.

Thursday: Rick and Papa went back up to the lake to do a couple things, and Nana watched Luke. When the guys returned, they all ate dinner together. Rick brought some home for me - Nana's stir-fry yummmm.

Friday: I actually got out of work on time for once on a Friday! Came home, and Rick let me take a nap. 2 hours! yay! I got Luke ready for bed and then headed out to meet my former co-workers. I had a great time, but was pretty tired today :) Luke let us sleep in a bit today so that was nice

Saturday: Got up around 8 and played with Luke. Got a call from a friend who was going to be nearby at the mall. Luke and I decided to meet her and do a little shopping. We had fun and I got some secret santa gifts done! We went home for a bit and took a couple pics:

then we left to go meet Auntie Drea and Auntie Katie for lunch at FGI Fridays. Yumm! Luke was great all through our lunch. He was pretty tired from all the excitement and took a good nap on the way home. When we got home, we got the woodstove going and the 3 of us are going to relax tonight!

Biggest...Poop....EVER

Summary of my day:
Woke up and Luke was still sleeping, for another hour and a half! Yay! Drank some coffee, and relaxed. When he got up, Rick and I played with him for a bit. At about 10, I decided to get ready to go shopping. Got the little guy dressed up in his Golf outfit (special for Grandpa - even though we didn't see him today) and went to Target. Luke slept on the way there and in the store. Saw one of my employees who works there too, chatted with her for a bit. Luke woke up and flirted (as usual). Got him a new hat for Christmas, and wow, he looks so cute. Ran into Bed Bath and Beyond to get some money back on a previous purchase, yay money!

Came home and ate lunch, then Luke took a nice long nap. I did some stuff online and some laundry, fun things. When Luke woke up, we went to the grocery store. Gave Luke an apple juice bottle in the grocery store to move the poop situation along. When we got home, I unloaded the groceries and Luke watched. I went to put on some windpants, and then back to where Luke was. This is when I noticed something on my sweatpants. Oh fun! Cat puke! Quickly got those off and new ones on. Came back to see where the puke came from?! It was more like, came back to see where the puke WASN'T. It was all over the dining room (hard wood floors), the bathroom floor (tile), the bathroom shower mat rug thingy, the hall way (tile), and the office (carpet). oh fun! So I cleaned that up, while Luke ate his feet. When I was done, we sat down to check our email and I felt some pooping action! Yay! looked in and - there is poo! yay again! By the time I got upstairs the poo had multiplied and migrated up to his neck and armpits! oh its getting better and better!! Got him cleaned as best I could with baby wipes and stripped the changing pad cover and his sheets. ugh. I did have one very happy baby at this point, however!

Got him in some sweats to eat dinner (oatmeal cereal) and then bath-time and our bedtime routine.

Happy 5 month birthday!

Today Luke is 5 months old! Here we are 5 months ago, at just about this time of day...And here is Luke.. freshly born.

Sunday

After play time this morning, we got the car packed up and headed to Portsmouth to Drea's. Hillary and Pete met us, Drea and Erik there. We all headed down to Strawberry Banke to take some pics. Hillary is starting up a photography business, so we volunteered to be her subjects. She took some great pics and I can't wait to get them from her so I can show them off!!
After taking pictures, in the freezing cold, we headed to the brewery for some food. Luke was awesome, as usual, and we enjoyed a nice meal. After our busy day, Luke was exhausted and fell asleep in the stroller on the walk back to Drea's place. We left around 5, and church doesn't start til 7, so we swung by grandma and grandpa's on the way home. Luke was dressed all preppy from having the pictures done, so he looked extra cute. After a quick visit with them we went to church.
When we got home, Luke STILL hadn't pooped. He has had 1-2 oz of watered down apple juice the past 2 days, so I gave him another ounce or so.... He is such a big boy holding his own bottle!

I WISH that you could have smelled the stink coming out of him as he was drinking that bottle. But, alas, technology hasn't come that far yet. Rick and I were both hoping that we aren't the one who gets the diaper when the poo finally does come out. Wednesday to Monday...Tuesday... Maybe it will happen when he is at Nana and Papa's :)

Saturday

Saturday, Luke and I got up and had some play time/ exercise time. Then we got ready and went to the mall when it opened. Santa is already there! Seems early... We got our errands done at the mall and headed home to meet Rick. While Luke was napping, Rick did some stuff in the mudroom and we got a few things done around the house. Luke and I had to go back to the mall in the afternoon to exchange something for Rick and it was PACKED. We lucked out and got a parking spot and were in and out pretty quickly.

Rick and I ate an early dinner, as we forgot to eat lunch, and then got ready. We took Luke across the street to Maggie and Todd's house so they could watch him for a few hours. He had a great time with the girls

And playing with the toys they have over there.

And just being silly.

Rick and I went out for a couple drinks and had some appetizers. We ran a few errands (home depot and the Verizon store) and then came home to collect Luke.
This morning Luke has enjoyed watching Loki roam around
And found plenty of things to laugh at.
