This week

On Tuesday, Rick and Luke had their typical day, which ended at Nana and Papa's with a great dinner!

Wednesday, the boys came down to my work and visited for a bit with the girls. Luke was looking very handsome in his preppy outfit. We left the clinic at about 1 and headed for home. It was a beautiful day and Luke and I went for a long walk for about an hour and a half. When we got home, we played for a bit
And I discovered Luke is very protective over "his" milk. He was eyeing it so I handed it to him. He got those little hands wrapped around it and would not let go.
Before bed, we had some practice with the spoon, which he seemed to "get" right away. So, seems like he is ready for some rice cereal!
Thursday while I was at work, Rick and Luke hung out and got a few things done. Rick had gotten Luke ready for bed so that I could feed him when I got home. When I arrived I found Luke asleep like this:
On Friday, Rick and Luke went to Nana and Papa's in the morning. They all had lunch together and then Rick left for work. I headed over there when I got out of work in the early afternoon and visited with Nana for a bit. Then Luke and I headed home and at a good helping of rice cereal, had a bath and got ready for bed. Rick took care of Luke during the night so I got 8 hours of sleep! YEAH!

This morning we got up and played hard for about an hour and now Luke is napping in his crib. We have a few errands to run today, but it should be a relaxing weekend!

fall`weekend

Saturday morning, we got up and played for a bit while Aunty Dee did her errands. Once she was done, she called and we left to head over to her house.

It was Luke's first time at Aunty Dee's house and he met the cats and patted Legs. He loved it!
Then we got our bright colors on and headed up the trails behind the house. We walked about 3 miles in the woods, it was really nice out and a great day for a hike.

After we got back to the house, we all ate lunch and Dee had bought us these really cute, little single-serving Ben and Jerry's ice creams. We left just after lunch and headed home to get Rick. We were meeting our friends at the corn maze in Haverhill. Somehow, we were there first, so we put Luke in the cow head.This is the maze we did

Friday night lights

On Wednesday, I went to Nana and Papa's when I got out of work at 1 as Rick had dropped the little guy off there so he could head to work. Luke and I took a little nap in the recliner and then went for a walk with papa. It was beautiful out! Then we had a great dinner of pizza and salad, which Rick got there just in time for! After dinner I headed back to N Andover for dinner/drinks with the girls from work! I enjoyed my first margarita in well over a year! yumm! I headed back to Nana and Papa's and the 3 of us stayed the night there. Thursday was a long day at work for me, Luke and Rick hung out with the neighbors (see previous post :) )

On Friday, I had a conference all day, so Rick and Luke hung out and had some fun. I ended up getting stuck in really bad traffic coming home (LEAF PEEPERS!!), so Luke got to hang out with Maggie, Todd and the girls across the street for a bit after Rick left for work. He had a great time with them, as usual!!


Friday night, we brought Luke to his first live football game! It was Central Catholic's homecoming weekend. He really, really liked to watch the game, and was very intent on it. We got him this TShirt ... too cute!He was awake WAY past his bedtime, and as soon as he got in the car, he passed right out!

Today we are going walking with Aunty Dee on the trails near her house, then doing a corn maze with the gang!

Indian Summer Fun

So yesterday was in the mid 70's!!! Such a nice day out that we decided to spend lots of time outside. We pulled weeds...got lots of visits from the girls next door and behind us and then hung out with our neighbors Maggie, Todd, Taylor and Taryn, and Ryan was around too. Once it got a bit too buggy we continued the last of the summer-time hang outs inside where Maggie cooked up plenty of food for our growing crowd. Luke loved all the attention as you can see here.

Tuesday is Daddy's Day

Today we went over to Michelle's early in the AM as she had an apt to go to . Christopher and I played with some toys and even shared his cozy coup car as Luke took it for a test drive! He can't quite reach the ground yet, but he grabbed onto the steering wheel.
When Michelle got home, we took all the kids for a hike on some trails in the woods. It was very nice out for a fall day and it was great to be outside in the sun. Luke slept through most of the walk since he had not had much of a nap during the day.

Even Christopher had to be carried back to the car as he was wiped out from running up and down the trail. Now as we update this we are at Nana and Papa's awaiting a delicious dinner and playing on the floor. Papa is giving Luke a workout session! Let's see them do that together when he's 4!!

weekend

On Saturday morning, we got up and did some stuff around the house. We got packed up for the lake for the weekend and did a little housework. Then Luke and I got ready in our warm clothes for apple picking! When Rick got home from work, he brought my car for an oil change and then we all headed down to the Boston Hill Farm. We enjoyed some GREAT BBQ before Ken and Michelle got there with the kids. Once they got there, we headed out to pick some apples!

And then we made Christopher pose as a goat. After a fun day of apple picking we headed down to Jackie and Brendan's house for a cookout/end-of-the-summer party. Luke enjoyed his first game of beirut!After a fun time at the party, we headed up to the lake. I had to drive as Rick played a little too much beirut :( We got up to the lake at about 10 or so, and heated the place up, made the bed and went to bed. Got up and the lake looked like this, pretty cool...

we played with luke for a bit and got him dressed for the Pats game. woohoo they won! Rick helped the neighbor pull their dock out of the water on saturday also. After Luke went to bed, I finally go to see Sex and the City!! Good movie!!On Monday we got up and played with Luke for a bitand got him dressed in one of his handmade sweater! so cute!and then got him bundled up to go outside, it was cold out!!we got most of the stuff out of the lake house for the winter and headed home. Oce we got home, Luke took a nap, with his arms straight out, it was really funny!!
Later on today, we made an apple pie and Luke helped!and then he learned how to play air guitar like his dad!

The last week

On Monday afternoon we all went to nana and papa's to sleep over. Rick had an all day meeting on Tuesday so Luke got Nana and Papa Q.T. We took some pics before bed in his cute 2 piece PJs.

Tuesday was spent playing and being silly with nana and papa. Tuesday night, it took me 2 hours to get home from work due to 93 being shut down. That stunk.

Wednesday - Luke and Dad played at home for a bit, then came to my work to do the baby swap. We came back home and played for a bit.

Then we talked to the pediatrician because Luke hadn't pooped in a few days and was tring his hardest to get it out :) They told me to give him a tablespoon of apple juice in an ounce of water. Luke enjoying his first taste of not-breastmilk or medicine:

At some point on Wed night Luke pooped! yeah!

Friday- Baby swap at my work at noontime. Luke and I drive into boston to get Jess, who has flown in from San Diego. It's Luke's first time in Boston! Here he is enjoying the scenery :)

We came back up into NH and had lunch at cracker barrell and we played with Luke

We had a great visit with Jess and it was great to see her!!!

Today (saturday) - we played a bit, here is Luke, loving his reflection in the play- gym!

Later on we are going apple picking and to a BBQ!
