Past few days

Yeah! We got our first two comments! The winner is Jess (aka Luz). I dont know what you win, but you were our very first comment. :) Our second comment comes all the way from Hong Kong from Erica :)

On Saturday we got up and played with Luke for a bit. Then Dad got him ready and drove him over to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Luke helped Grandma make applesauce and do some other canning. Grandpa tired to teach him how to weed the garden, but Luke decided drooling was more fun.

Oh- while Luke was gone, I cleaned the whole house. Fun day :)

I went to get Luke in the afternoon and brought him back home to meet Amy and Heather. I speaced out on taking pics of them and Luke :( Luke wore his outfit that Heather brought over for him on Sunday to watch the Pats game! Our routine seems to be working as the Pats are 2-0.
After Amy and Heather left we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. Cousin Avah was over for the night too. We all had a nice dinner together. Avah and Grandma gave Luke a bottle before we left for camp. She did a great job feeding him and being gentle with her little cousin. Luke was tired and slept the whole way up to camp and then til almost 7am :)






Sunday we got up and it was raining so we went out to breakfast in town. Everyone at the diner was smiling at Luke. There was a life size poster cut-out of David Ortiz there that I wanted to take a picture of Luke with, but I forgot the camera :( 2 missed photo oportunities in 2 days!
When we got back to the house, Luke and I lounged around and watched football and played on our bellies. Well, he did, I watched. Rick cut down some branches and did yard work in the rain. Then it was game-time and Luke slept through most of the Pats game. After the game it was bed-time for Luke and we had dinner (left overs from the night before at Grandma and Grandpa's and corn from their garden - yum!).




(side note - this picture was taken after a diaper change. We usually play on the changing table a bit afterwards. He looks way more scared than he was and I swear he was having fun)




Today we hung around at the house and on the water, then we went for a long walk. They are letting water out of the lake because it's been so high, so we walked down to the dam and looked at the raging water.

Luke came down to my work today with Rick, so Rick could get to his appointment a bit earlier. Luke and I did some paperwork and then did our offices payroll. Luke was less than impressed with the amount of paperwork required :) He did, however, enjoy hanging out with the girls at the office.

His sleep schedule has been less than ideal the past week, but I am hoping he is just in a growth spurt. He has been waking up at midnight to eat and then at some point again between 3:30 and 5. The 3:30's are not fun!

I had to post another pic of Luke and Ava together because they are so cute :)

Work is going well for me, and while I am gone Rick and Luke are doing great together. We all seem to be into a great routine and so far, so good! I look forward to the weekends a lot more than I used to, when I get to spend more time with him :)

We went out yesterday afternoon when i got home from work and did some errands. We went to Walmart to pick up a few things then headed over to the mall. We cruised around the mall for a bit and did some window shopping :) Then we went for a walk around the neighborhood bedfore bed. Luke loves being outside!

Tuesday after work, I spaced out and forgot to get on 93 north coming home :( I stayed on 495 South and ended up in Lowell... oops! I won't do that again!

Daddy Day-Care

Yesterday (Tuesday) Luke and I (Rick) had another full day together. After some morning work-outs (tummy-time and exersaucer) we went to visit his cousins Ava and Christopher. Ava and Luke share the same birthday and although Luke is definitely bigger, Ava seems to be getting much taller and catching up quickly.

After having lunch at Michelle's and having some play-time, we headed over to Nana's to visit the great-grandparents. Nana fed Luke while I helped Papa close up the pool, and then a delicious dinner.

Patriots game rituals

We decided that we needed a ritual that we do before Patriots games. So, Luke decided to wear his Patriots PJs to bed on Saturday night. Sunday morning before the game, we played with his Patriots football.
Then he got dressed in his Patriots outfit for game time.





After the excitement of the game, we took a nap on the couch.
Not what we imagined for a first Patriots season of Luke's life, with no Tom Brady :( but we will see what the season brings!

Saturday

Last night after mom got home from a long week at work (first week back) the 3 of us went for a walk and enjoyed some family time together. This morning we all slept til about 9 and then relaxed for a bit before mom and Luke got ready for the day. Grandpa came over for a quick visit to see the little guy.

We went to see Mom's boss (Gerriann) and her 2 daughters - Shannon and Kaleigh. Shannon fell off the monkey bars this week and broker her arm :(

We had a nice visit with them and then headed over to see Nana and Papa for a bit. As always, Nana and Papa had fun with Luke and enjoyed seeing him.

We are having wind and rain from the hurricane tonight so we decided not to go to the lake until tomorrow. The rest of the weekend is supposed to be nice though!

the past week!

We had a great time at nana and papa's on Labor Day for one last cookout of the season! A great way to end the summer :)

For the start of the holiday weekend we were up at the lake relaxing. Grandma and Grandpa came up on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed spending some time relaxing on the deck with Luke.


Last Friday Luke and mom had lunch with Nana and Aunty Aggie. We went up to the seafood resteraunt near the lake house and then they got to see the camp! We had a great time:)

Mom is now back at work, so Dad and Luke enjoy "boy time." We are all getting used to our new schedules, but so far it's going well!!

Luke is starting to babble and coo a lot. His favorite time of day is first thing in the morning. When he wakes up he plays in his crib and we usually wake up to him squeeling and laughing to himself :) He continues to get stronger and should be able to sit up in a month or 2. We are done with doctor's appts until the end of October and we are all happy about that!
