Today Luke had his 2 year well-baby check up. He is 35.5 inches long and 28 pounds 2 ounces. Everything is right on track. We have to pick a new pediatrician as she is moving back to Minnesota. This is our opportunity to pick one through the hospital we go to, but an office that is a little closer to our house.
Landon is growing as well. We have been doing a Baby-led weaning approach to feeding him and its been going really well. Messy, but well :) ... He does eat purees and loves them too, but he really, really loves feeding himself. He kicks his little legs and smiles the whole time. Tonight he had baked sweet potatoes that I cut into french fry sizes, whole wheat pasta, sauteed ground turkey and kale. He loved it all!
We were at the lake all weekend and Luke is LOVING the lake and all the activities there. What a lucky boy! He rode on the boat, and the jet ski, he swam and played in the sand, and we hung out at the sandbar and swam there. He doesn't mind wearing his life vest and if I tell him to get it, he gets excited and knows something fun is about to happen!
We have a small hill (very small) from the house into the yard. Luke's newest thing is to push his 4 wheeler or car up the hill and then ride down it. This is favorite on-land activity at the lake.
Luke turned 2 and we had a party for him last weekend. It rained but it was still fun! Aunty Dee made him a quilt for naptime at school!
Landon has been crawling for about a week now. It's not the fastest method yet but he gets where he wants to go!
