12 month appointment
I also went to the doctor for my 24 week check up and everything looks good. I am measuring a couple weeks ahead but I guess this is pretty standard for a 2nd baby.
After all of the boring appointments, we had to go grocery shopping, so overall a pretty dull day for Luke. He was happy to get home and into his play room with all his toys.

Happy father's day and a few more birthday pics!
Another picture of him pushing the cozy coupe around before it was fully assembled! He liked the convertible look :)
MMM Nana, feed me that yogurt faster!
Here is Eric letting Luke sample the cake.... mmmm frosting!
Getting some kisses from Nana and smiles from Auntie Rae
Auntie Sharon and Uncle Ralph gave Luke a wagon ( a wagon built for 2!) and the kids liked it!
Another cake-eating picture :)
Here is Luke waving while having fun with Auntie's Drea and Becca
Auntie Drea was giving Wagon rides to Luke and Ava, while Avah pushes and helps :)
We opened Lukes presents the next morning as he was exhausted and had already had a lot of excitement on Saturday. So while he enjoyed his morning bottle, he ripped into some presents. (notice the no hands drinking ability).
He did a great job ripping the wrapping paper open!
After we got dressed he played some more :) Auntie Dee and Uncle John got him this little barnyard and little animals that make noise... very cute! His new 4-wheeler from Uncle John M was a big hit too and is really loud haha.
A little later Rick was playing his new Wii games that we got him for Father's Day and Luke was really excited and trying to help Dada to win at tennis :)
Rick had a good 1st Father's day and we just mostly relaxed. We still had lots of BBQ left over from Saturday, so Ken, Michelle and and the kids came over for lunch. The dad's played 18 holes of Tiger Woods Wii golf and the kids played. After they left, the 3 of us took a nice nap :) and then Nana and Papa came over for BBQ left-over dinner. We finished almost everything today except the salad and some chicken.

Birthday Fun - Luke's #1!!!
What a week we have had!! For Luke's 1st Birthday we celebrated on Wednesday by letting him play with one of his presents: The Crabbie Sandbox.....he loves playing in the sand and getting dirty...such a boy.
Sometimes Luke doesn't want his knees touching the grass or sand and he does his "monkey crawl". I think it's just about time he starts walking....almost there.
Memere and Grandpa gave him his first car:...a cozy coupe!! He LOVED it...in fact as you could see from a previous picture, he wouldn't wait until we had it all together to play with it. I think he'll get lots of fun out of that little car.
At a small dinner with Nana and Papa, luke discovered how to stick out his toungue...he found it quite amusing as he couldn't stop laughing while he did it.
OK, maybe this was mean but he kept wanting to try it, as we let him taste a lemon. From his face you can see it was a little bitter for him, but he kept trying it again and again and would cry if we took it away. Crazy kid.
Yeah!!! Lots of Birthday Balloons.
And that's only 2 of the 5 tables!! Looks like everyone was enjoying the amazing food.
Happy Family celebrating their 1 year anniversary as a new and QUICKLY growing family! Rick wearing his cowboy hat from Aspen to go with the theme of Luke's BBQ.
YUMMMM....Cake!!! Luke loved it once he figured out it was edible and yummy.
And now a ride in his new wagon! A wagon made for..... 2!!! Good thing he has a brother on the way to share it with.

Past week or so...
After the MD appt we took Luke to the park right near our house to play for a bit. He played on the swings, slides and in the sandbox for a bit. He had a lot of fun and was crawling all over the playground
Papa has been teaching Luke how to conduct with the classical music. Luke loves it and Papa seems to enjoy it too :)And the boys always have fun rough-housing tooBy the end of the week, we were ready for a weekend at the lake. Rick was able to do his Saturday appointments on Friday so we were ready to go by Friday afternoon! We got up to the lake, unpacked and enjoyed a nice dinner.
When it was late enough, Rick started mowing the lawn and Luke watched out the door for almost the entire time.
In the early afternoon, all of Rick's coworkers and their families came up to the lake and we had a great cookout. There were plenty of kids and everyone had a great time! Luke didn't nap all day until about 4pm but was still in a good mood. He was pretty tired by the end of the day but still woke up really early on Monday morning.
We were all ready to go for the day by 8am and decided to go for a jet ski ride.
Pretty much as soon as we got on the jet ski, Luke fell asleep. Rick and I cruised around the big part of the lake for a while (as Luke slept) until we ran out of gas. Oops. Luckily there is a reserve tank and we got back to camp. We re-feuled and headed back out again. As we left, we saw a water plane landing! It was pretty cool and Luke liked it too!
We had a great weekend and now we are home and ready for another week!
