So, Nana was wondering what our living room looked like with all of Luke's toys and gear in there. So, I took a picture. We stash it in the corner when he is not using it. Plenty of room for all of us :)

I am a little concerned about Luke's wardrobe when I return to work because this is how Dad dresses him. (*Note* onesies go inside pants)
This is Luke in his super cute Patriots outfit Isolde, Roland and Taylor got him for his baptism!

So, we all know that Rick is addicted to Craigslist for his campers and jet skis. Well Luke and I have made some great finds on there recently too! We picked him up a Bumboo seat today and he likes being able to sit up without help!

This first picture is Luke's impression of a pirate. I think he has it down pat. I wish he was wearing his pirate outfit, but its still cute :)

This is Luke in his new bumboo, sitting up like a big boy :)

Weekend

We had a busy weekend as usual. On Saturday Luke went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a few hours in the evening so mom could go out to a movie with Aunty Dee and Aunty Karen. He had fun with his grandparents!

On Sunday we went to a going away party for our friend Kate. She got to meet Luke before she left and had fun holding him. Luke got to spend all evening being cudled and held. He was exhausted when we left to head home.

This is mom's last week at home before heading back to work :(

Sleep over at Nana and Papa's

Mom and dad had another concert to go to, so Luke got to hang out with Nana and Papa for the night. Mom and Dad came back and we all slept over their house :) Luke had fun and his great-grandparents did too.
The little guy is still feeling a bit under the weather from his shots, but seems to be improving. Nana, mom and Luke went shopping today to Target and KMart and Luke got some stuff that was on sale :)

We bought Luke an exercauser the other day as he loves to stand and bounce. So far he has loved it and it about to press some of the buttons on one of the toys. He is fascinated by the lights, sounds and colors.

2 month visit

We just got home from Luke's 2 month pediatrician appointment. He now weighs just over 14# (which is the 92%) and is 24 inches long (88%). We are doing a delayed vaccination schedule, so he only had to get 1 shot and 1 oral vaccine today. But it was very traumatic for both him and mom and dad. He started screaming immediatly after they stuck him and mom started to cry too :( ... Once mom got to pick him up he calmed down a bit but continued to make the most adorable pouty face with his bottom lip. We go back next week for his other 2 shots, which no one is looking forward to.

We had to switch doctors and today was our first visit with his new doctor "Dr. K." She is very nice and had a good way with Luke. She is a new mom herself and has a 4 month old daughter.

Today we will have lunch with Auntie Drea and then mom has a doctor's appointment in the afternoon.

First boat ride on the lake!

Well Luke took his first boat ride last night! We went up to the lake for the night and our neighbors gave us a ride in their boat. We had a great time and Luke enjoyed it, well for the few minutes he stayed awake! :)

The first picture is of Luke enjoying some quiet play time in his bouncy seat.

The second picture is of Luke admiring daddy and enjoying being silly with him.

The last 2 pictures are of little man Luke in his big boy life jacket :) Once he fell asleep he looked like one of the guys that wears the sumo wrestling fat suits. It was really cute!

Acadia

We have returned from our week-long trip to Acadia (Bar Harbor). We had a great time! Luke was a good boy and enjoyed taking in the beautiful scenery! We did some hiking, went to the beach, drove around the island and stopped at scenic overlooks and had lots of ice cream in town. The grown-ups got to enjoy a few brewery tours and a winery tour and also played mini-golf. Mom had Luke strapped to her (and she tied for 1st place :) ) and the boys drove go-Karts one day.

The first picture is of mom and Luke getting ready for sunrise on Cadillac Mtn. This is where we got engaged in 2004. It was cold out that morning but Luke snuggled right in and stayed warm.

The next picture is on top of Cadillac again, but in the daytime. Its a nice view of the islands and Bar Harbor from up there.

The 3rd picture is of Luke having fun in his car seat and enjoying a scenic overlook on our last full day there.
And the last picture is of one tired boy. This was our first full day. We drove the park loop road, had lunch out on the rocks along the ocean, went into town and did a brewery tour and got ice cream.

First sleep over!

Luke watched his first patriots game with dad today. He wore his Pats socks to celebrate the occassion.

Luke slept over at Grandma and Grandpa's house this week. Of course mom and dad were a wreck, but Luke had fun and behaved for his grandparents! Mom and Dad had fun at their concert but were VERY happy to see Luke in the morning :)

We leave for vacation this weekend and are looking forward to it. Luke had to say goodbye to his Memere today as she leaves while we are gone. He will miss her, but we will be visiting Florida in October. He will get to meet his other Grandpa on the trip too and he is very excited.

Baptism

Thanks to all who attended the baptism and the after-party yesterday!! Even though the weather was not the best, we had fun!!

For those who were not there, the ceremony was very nice and it was a full submersion ceremony. It was a hot tub, so it was nice and warm and Luke loved it! He was great during the entire thing and didnt cry at all! We had a great party afterwards at Nana and Papa's house and everyone had a great time and enjoyed a lot of great food!

Luke loved being the center of attention at the party and enjoyed lots of cuddling :) He got to meet his new cousin taylor (7-16-08). There was lots of crying between those 2 and his cousin Ava, who shares a birthday with Luke :) All of the adults were loving having so many babies to hold though!
In the picture of the actual baptism you can see Rick also baptised his tie (oops!). And the group picture is us with Luke's godparents: Michelle and Ken.

Look at those baby blues! We are hoping that Luke's eyes stay the pretty blue that they are now!!

OK, this is a better picture of the outfit that auntie drea had made for Luke... He's not crying at least :)

More and more smiles are showing up on the little guys face! He is a happy baby and enjoys when mom and dad act silly. He is also very smiley when he knows it is time to eat! (see chubby cheeks as evidence!) :)
