the weekend

I know he is crying in this picture, but I wanted to show off the onsie that Auntie Drea had made for him and this was the only picture! His arm is covering up winnie the pooh and it has his name on it- so cute!
On Saturday we went to the annual cookout at Aunty Deb's and Luke enjoyed lots of cuddling with the family. Luke did not enjoy swimming in the pool on saturday :(

He did, however, enjoy swimming in the lake on sunday and monday! He was very tired afterwards and looked too cute in his pooh robe to not take pictures of him! He was very well-behaved and that allowed mom to spend some time riding her jet ski! :) fun weekend!

The lake

We have been enjoying the new house, and have been busy getting everything set up. It has rained most days we have been there, so it has been good to get stuff done around the house and yard. We have gotten to take some rides on the jet ski (minus Luke) and even memere took a ride!
Luke has been good in the car going back and forth to the lake and doesn't mind the car (most of the time!) We got his baptism outfit this week too and he met the people mom used to work with in Nashua.

Lake House

Well, we closed on the lake house in Maine this week. Luke was very excited and can't wait to ride the jet ski :) We have not done anything else exciting this week except a few shopping trips. Luke and mom have been busy packing stuff up for the lake and buying odds and ends that we need.

Today Luke is one month old. The past month has gone by very fast!
We have scheduled Luke's baptism for Aug 3rd and we will be having a cookout at Nana and Papa's afterward. Luke can't wait to meet the rest of the family!

Sickness

Well Luke and mom have been sick this week with Thrush. Luckily, we caught it early and we are both feeling better already. We went to the doctors office yesterday and Luke weighed in at 10# 10 oz. He was such a good boy while the doctor stuck a tongue depressor down his throat to check out his mouth. We also had our first trip to the pharmacy and Luke cried right on cue when the phamacist said it would take 15 minutes to fill his prescription. Mommy calmy told the nice man that he would have to listen to the crying for that long and, what do you know, that prescription was ready in under a minute :) Mommy and Luke exchanged high fives on the way out!

cookout

It was our first cookout today! Luke had a great time and loved being cuddled by everyone. He didn't get to hang out with the other guys and shoot the bow and arrows or the air gun, but he had fun hanging out with the girls.

On our scale at home, Luke appears to weight between 10 and 11 pounds now ... he is growing like a weed!!

First Blog

We decided to creat a blog to keep friends and family up to date on Luke and how he is doing. Today is his first 4th of July and the highlight of the day was Luke losing his umbilical cord stump. We are looking forward to giving him his first bath now that he can get his belly wet :) No fireworks for the little guy this year. He is getting bigger each day and is starting to grow out of some of his clothes already. He is starting to smile more and more each day. During tummy time he is now able to control his head and hold it up for longer periods of time. He can also look side to side while holding his head up now.

Luke has already completed his first camping trip (a few days at Pawtuckaway State Park) and his first trip to Rhode Island to the beach. He enjoyed both trips and was a good boy!
